So i was screwing around with some particles, :P. Here are the explanations of the options:

Track Particles: Enabled or Disabled, creates a kinda pretty fade thingey on the particle's path. But can make it pretty CPU-intensitive.

Particle Speed: ...Duh :P.

Particles: Amount of particles created per second, if you're CPU can handle it at least ;P.

Fuzziness: Pretty useluss feature, which gives the particle a random end position. If the fuzziness number is 10, then the particle can end up 10 pixels away to the left or the right from the position of you mouse cursor, and 10 pixels away to the top and to the bottom.

Fall Delay: The amount of time before the particles start falling into nowhere, in milliseconds.

Particle Size: Size factor from 1 to 10.

Oh and finally, click somewhere and drag around to start the particle fun ;).

Love this. It has no real purpose, yet its still awesome.
:iconcrashdummynl:
thnx! Glad you like it ;)
:iconnikush7:
wow this is awsum!
how do yuo get the colour to change over time?
:iconcrashdummynl:
Well the actual particle is a ball, so it's just a movieclip. In this movieclip i have 40 frames in which I created like 4 shape tweens, so the colors fade from red to yellow to blue to green to red again. Then i just keep track of a variable which holds a number from 1 to 40, and then i just add 1 to this variable each time i dump a new particle.(and when the variable gets to 40, I set it to 1 again. Then it's just a matter of gotoAndStopping the particle to the variablenumber ;).

There probably is a better solution with using bitmapData, but haven't found out that yet, maybe that's the next step ;P. BTW glas you like it :).
:iconnikush7:
lol i actually thought you used bitmapdata because it looks that cool, turns out u were kinda faking it. but it worked!

anyway you dont have to use bitmapdata for this effect, you could use the colorTransform class of the movieclip to tint it. its not easy getting the effect you got with this class, but i thought you might might like to know anyway.
:iconcrashdummynl:
Yeah i experienced a bit with colorTransform on forehand, but it's pretty hard to make it fade nicely with those heximal color code stuff thingeys.

Cool, I like the default settings just with track particles turned off. You should look into using the BitmapData class, that way you can have unlimited trails with no slowdown.

overabundance causes confusion of time versus necessity.hurry, only 6 seconds to go.repeat as necessary.
:iconmari-ninja:
This is really fun! You can draw with multi-coloured particles, amazing :)

I have spent my life like i'm in a corner trying to reach out for help. Well, f*** that. I'll just help myself.
